Instant Pot Bone Broth
Here's how we make Instant Pot Bone Broth! It's a great option when you don't have 24-48 hours to make broth in the crock pot! (If don't have an instant pot or have a little more time on your hands.. check out my crock pot recipe here.)
Instant Pot Bone Broth Recipe
YOU WILL NEED:
- Roughly 4 lbs of grass-fed beef soup bones/other beef bones (I used oxtail for this recipe)
- Carrots (I use 3 or 4 whole carrots chopped up)
- Celery (I use 3 or 4 whole carrots chopped up)
- Onions (I use 1 small/medium onion chopped up)
- Olive oil
- 2 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Bay Leaf
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees
Step 2: Drizzle your bones with olive oil and place them in the oven for 30-45 minutes until soup bones are roasted
Step 3: Roughly chop your vegetables
Step 4: After your bones are roasted, place the bones, vegetables, apple cider vinegar and bay leaf into the instant pot
Step 5: Fill the instant pot with water until everything is under water (making sure the water is below the max fill line)
Step 6: Place the lid on and seal, set to manual high pressure for 2 hours
Step 7: Once it's done, let the pressure naturally release. Strain your broth and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, pour into your storage containers (I like to use mason jars)
Step 8: Enjoy! We like to sip on it with we're feeling sick or add it to your favorite recipes!
